THE 2013 AWARDS ARE NOW OPEN FOR ENTRY

The New Homes Garden Awards 2013 are now open for entry. The New Homes Garden Awards have been recognising and rewarding excellence in landscape and garden design for 10 years and this year we can look forward to seeing even more inspiring gardens and landscapes than ever before. From our infancy in 2004 we have seen the quality, innovation and sustainability in outdoor space transformed from an afterhought considered relatively unimportant by most house builders to one of the essential components of any worthy and desirable new development.

New for 2013 -  The Platinum Living Environment Award

This year we are introducing our new Platinum Living Environment Award the greenest and most environmentally responsible award category we have ever offered the housebuilding, garden design and landscape architecture industries. This award recognises the best examples of the role landscapes and outdoor space play in successful housing schemes. The award celebrates the importance housebuilders, landscape architects and garden designers place on the creation of a whole living environment in new home developments not just the building of new homes. The judges of this award will consider aspects such as the use of green space, the retention of natural features, the environmental credentials of the scheme, the sustainability of the scheme, the ongoing maintenance plan, innovation and creativity in design, the materials  used, the quality of construction, planting plans, how the scheme meets the brief and how the outdoor space works in relation to the properties and the lifestyle and security of the residents. The award is open to house builders, landscape architects and garden designers for schemes completed between 1st January 2009 and 30th June 2013.

This year we celebrate 10 years of the New Homes Garden Awards, the most respected national programme to recognise and reward the house builders, garden designers, landscapers and landscape architects who create the innovative and sustainable gardens and landscapes around new and renovated homes. Together with our media partners, Express Newspapers, we shall salute and celebrate their achievements and look to share those achievements with the world. Some exceptional gardens and landscapes won awards last year and we anticipate we shall see even geater creativity, innovation and spectacular design with the gardens and landscapes entered in 2013.

We are passionate about the outdoor space around new homes as we believe well designed gardens, landscapes and communal space turn a good development into a great one. Creative and sustainable outdoor space gives a home life and identity and together with a sustainable design culture significantly improves the ecological impact of the property as a whole. Winning the New Homes Garden Awards is a prestigious symbol of excellence, creativity, innovation, sustainability, environmental responsibility and true customer care.

This year why not consider being part of our product and services guide. We are always being asked by customers and industry professionals to locate or recommend garden designers, landscape architects, house builders, pr agencies, plant nurseries, garden centres as well as all kinds of garden buildings, fencing, paving and other gardening paraphernalia.
